Job Description

Location: Remote (US-based)

Contract length: 6 months to start

About the role

We are a growing 3PL organization and looking for an experienced EDI Analyst to support and improve our trading partner integrations. You’ll onboard new customers and carriers, monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, and keep data flowing accurately between trading partners and our warehouse, transportation and ERP systems. This is a hands-on contract role for someone who can get productive quickly.

What you’ll do

  • Build, test and deploy EDI integrations and trading partner connections using Cleo
  • Create and maintain maps, translations and partner profiles for new and existing trading partners
  • Monitor daily EDI traffic, and research and resolve failed, rejected or missing transactions
  • Work with customers, carriers, vendors and internal teams (operations, customer service, IT and WMS/TMS support) to gather requirements and resolve data issues
  • Review trading partner specifications and implementation guides, and run end-to-end testing and certification
  • Manage acknowledgments (997/999) and reconcile transaction discrepancies
  • Document maps, procedures and troubleshooting steps so knowledge can be handed off at the end of the contract
  • Recommend improvements that reduce errors and manual work

What we’re looking for

  • Several years of hands-on experience as an EDI Analyst or EDI Developer
  • Experience working for a 3PL and familiar with warehousing, distribution, and transportation systems and transactions.
  • Strong working knowledge of X12 EDI, including the warehousing, logistics and transportation transactions, such as: Warehouse: 940, 945, 943, 944, 947, 846, 856 and Transportation: 204, 990, 214, 210, 211, 753/754 and Order and billing: 850, 855, 810, 820
  • Experience building and troubleshooting maps, and working with common communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP/VAN)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Preferred skills & experience

  • Hands-on experience with Cleo (for example Cleo Integration Cloud, Harmony or VLTrader/LexiCom)
  • Prior EDI experience at a 3PL, warehouse, freight, or transportation company
  • Familiarity with WMS and TMS platforms and ERP integrations
  • Experience with EDIFACT, XML, or API-based integrations

If this role is a good match for your background and experience and you are available to join in the next few weeks, please apply so we can set up a time to speak with you in more detail.
