Job Overview

Join a long-established, family-run family medicine practice in Santa Ana, CA as a bilingual (Spanish) Family Nurse Practitioner, and start from day one with an existing, loyal patient base. The practice is led by a physician with 27 years in the community. Many patients are multi-generational families, and the physician personally introduces you to his long-time patients. His schedule is full, so you take the overflow instead of building a panel. You’ll provide primary care to patients from children to older adults, seeing about 10 to 20 patients a day. MAs do blood draws in-house, and AI-assisted notes take about three minutes each. Clinic days run about 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, break until 2:00 PM, and wrap by about 5:30 PM. As you settle in, you’ll take on Wednesdays as the clinic’s sole clinician. You choose 1099 or W-2. The practice is about 15 minutes from the Newport Beach coast.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary care for patients from children through older adults: wellness visits, chronic disease management, preventive care, and sick visits
• Provide basic women’s health services, including Pap smears, and diagnose and treat common conditions such as UTIs and STIs
• See about 10 to 20 patients per day, growing as you and the patients get comfortable
• Order in-clinic lab draws (A1C, lipid panels, UA) for MAs to collect during the visit
• Document visits in the EMR using AI-assisted tools for fee-for-service, PPO, and Medi-Cal patients
• Communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and families in Spanish
• Work with the MAs and front-office team to keep the schedule moving
• Over time, cover Wednesdays as the sole clinician
• Optionally support the practice’s physician-led medical weight-loss program

Qualifications

• Active California nurse practitioner license
• Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• Fluent in Spanish
• At least 2 years of experience as an NP in primary care or family medicine
• Able to see patients independently at a steady pace with few questions
• Available for 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
• Interest in obesity medicine
• Active Medi-Cal provider enrollment strongly preferred (if you aren’t enrolled, the practice starts the process and you can see patients while it’s pending)

Schedule & Compensation

• $75 to $85/hour, based on experience
• Your choice of 1099 contractor or W-2 employee
• Annual bonus based on the clinic’s year-end performance, not individual productivity
• 3 to 4 days a week, plus 1 to 2 Saturdays a month
• Clinic hours about 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with a midday break
• About 10 to 20 patients/day | AI-assisted notes (about 3 minutes each) | In-house blood draws
