Field Service Technician

Looking for someone to eventually be one of our service technicians for the HVAC and Industrial markets. Would start out working with one of our techs and travel/work with them for some time.

We are a distributor for Yaskawa VFD's and other items. We provide startup on new installs, do retrofits, troubleshoot systems with VFD's. We also work on industrial controls troubleshooting, repairing, etc.

Work would mostly be in the Kansas City Metro Area, but we do provide service work through mid-Missouri (and St Louis at times) and a large part of Kansas (at times think of Wichita, Hays, Pittsburgh). Overtime will be required from time to time. Wen run on customers schedules.

Hours can be variable. This is service work.

We need someone who is a quick learner with a good memory. Think things through logically. Be inquisitive. Must be highly self-motivated. Be an independent thinker but follow directions. Be responsible to take care of customer needs and follow through. Detailed in work, paperwork and organized in all they do. Work well with people, be able to convey problems and solutions in a clear manner. Must be safety minded. Never afraid to learn something new and to never stop learning.

In service and in sales, we look to build long-term relationships with customers. We need someone who can build those relationships. Have the customers trust you. Which is why the correct person will be friendly and easy going and easy to get along with.

Formal/Trade education preferred but not required

If no formal education then would need to show experience

Electrical and Mechanical knowledge

Have knowledge of and used hand tools and power tools like drills, etc.

And yes, must be able to read a tape measure

Must provide all basic hand tools

6 month probation period

Must pass background check and drug test

Must have valid drivers license and clean record

Starting Pay: $25/hour
