About the Role

We're looking for an AI Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with engineering teams, building and deploying AI agents that solve real-world technical challenges.

You'll combine Python, agentic AI and data engineering to develop intelligent workflows that help engineers analyse test results, automate processes and investigate complex problems.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role where you'll work closely with clients, turn their challenges into working AI solutions and help shape the company's wider AI product.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and agentic workflows using Python.
• Work directly with engineering teams to understand challenges and develop tailored AI solutions.
• Build AI tools that automate engineering tasks, analyse data and support technical investigations.
• Develop and evaluate LLM-powered agents, including tool use, prompting and workflow orchestration.
• Turn successful customer solutions into reusable AI features and capabilities.
• Measure the effectiveness of AI solutions using real-world results.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve the platform.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience working with data.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, LLM applications or agentic workflows.
• Understanding of LLM prompting, tool calling and AI evaluation.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn complex requirements into working solutions.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in aerospace, defence, robotics, autonomous systems or hardware engineering.
• Background in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering or technical consulting.
• Experience building reusable products from customer-specific solutions.
• Experience working with telemetry, test data or engineering datasets.
• Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
