Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forward Deployment Engineer (Java Full Stack) to join its Portfolio Accounting and Data Services team. This is a hands-on role supporting an enterprise-wide data and digital transformation initiative.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java full-stack development, cloud-native applications, Azure, Kubernetes, and modern web technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable client-facing applications while ensuring excellent user experience and reliable accounting services.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions in a hybrid-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications supporting the client's accounting platform.

* Develop end-to-end application components, including UI, business logic, data, and integration layers.

* Build front-end applications using React.js, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

* Develop back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.

* Create, query, and manipulate SQL and NoSQL databases.

* Deploy and host full-stack applications in Azure environments using containers and Kubernetes.

* Manage production deployments and support troubleshooting, defect triage, and performance tuning.

* Provide technical support for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Airflow, and related tools.

* Design and implement applications with security, scalability, availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and failover requirements.

* Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to deliver projects on time and according to business priorities.

* Document business requirements, application architecture, technical designs, and development best practices.

* Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and platforms.

* Independently conduct Proof of Concept (POC) projects.

* Communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders and senior executives.

* Assist with scoping, architecting, and delivering cloud-based data solutions.

* Follow software development best practices throughout the complete SDLC.

Required Qualifications

* 10+ years of professional software development experience.

* Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.

* Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

* Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices.

* 3+ years of experience designing and building cloud-native applications and microservices.

* Strong experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

* Hands-on experience deploying and hosting applications using containers and Kubernetes.

* Strong experience with React.js and Single Page Applications (SPA).

* Strong understanding of REST APIs and practical API integration.

* Experience with Agile software delivery methodologies.

* Strong experience with Azure DevOps and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Confluence.

* Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks such as JUnit, Jasmine, or Jest.

* Strong experience with Azure and AKS in enterprise or financial services environments.

* Experience designing solutions for resiliency, scalability, failover, elasticity, and availability.

* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps practices.

* Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Terraform.

* Experience with financial services or banking applications.

* Knowledge of Portfolio Accounting and related financial data services.

* Experience with Azure cloud solutions in regulated enterprise environments.

* Experience with Airflow and cloud-based data engineering solutions.

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

* Familiarity with HackerRank, LeetCode, or equivalent coding assessments, with a target score in the top 90 percentile.
