We're looking for an exceptional Founding Engineer to build the future of AI-native commerce. Backed by a $20M round from Kleiner Perkins, this early-stage company is reimagining how inventory is bought and sold using AI, LLMs, and intelligent autonomous agents.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-calibre founding team, tackle genuinely hard engineering problems, and own critical systems from day one.

What we're looking for

• Outstanding engineering ability, strong computer science fundamentals, and a track record of shipping high-impact software.
• 2–15 years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or founding engineering roles.
• Strong experience with complex system design, distributed systems, durable execution, data-intensive applications, or large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, Python, or TypeScript.
• A background in founding engineering, AI engineering, Member of Technical Staff, Forward Deployed Engineering, or similarly high-ownership roles.
• Experience at respected engineering-led companies or high-performing technical teams.
• A steep growth trajectory: rapid progression, increasing responsibility, and evidence you're ready to operate at founding level.
• An exceptionally high degree of ownership, autonomy, and drive. You take on the hardest problems, move fast, and deliver without waiting for direction.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end. Take ambiguous, high-impact problems from architecture through production, with real autonomy and zero hand-holding.
• Build hard things. Develop AI infrastructure, entity resolution, agentic search, product substitution, pricing systems, and distributed execution platforms.
• Work at scale. Turn millions of messy SKUs, large datasets, emails, and PDFs into intelligent, automated workflows.
• Talk to customers. Work directly with users to understand real operational challenges and ship solutions that matter.
• Set the standard. Help define the engineering culture, technical direction, and product foundations as an early team member.
