Job Description
Full Stack & Systems Engineer
Compensation: Competitive base salary + meaningful founding equity.
Role Type: Full-time
US Citizens / Permanent Residents only
Stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js / Python, PostgreSQL (AlloyDB), GCP (Cloud Run), Docker, GitHub Actions, LangGraph / LLM APIs
About Business Buddy
Business Buddy is building an autonomous agentic platform that automates complex business operations and workflows. By connecting deeply to CRMs, databases, and third-party APIs, our platform acts as an intelligent reasoning co-pilot that executes multi-step tasks across enterprise systems using state of the art LLM agents.
About the Role
We are looking for our Full Stack & Systems Engineer—a true end-to-end builder who enjoys taking ideas from concept to live production. In this role, you won’t just write feature code; you will own the entire software delivery lifecycle: building frontend components, designing robust backend APIs, orchestrating AI agents, and deploying containerized services to Google Cloud via automated CI/CD pipelines.
If you are the type of engineer who loves seeing your code run smoothly in production, cares about system reliability, and gets excited about agentic AI workflows, this is the role for you.
What You Will Own & Build
- Full-Stack Product Engineering: Build responsive, intuitive web interfaces in React / TypeScript and scalable backend services in Node.js (and/or Python).
- Agentic Workflows: Design and deploy stateful, tool-calling agents using LangGraph / LangChain that execute complex tasks (data extraction, automated workflows, dynamic queries).
- Database & Data Architecture: Design schemas, write performant SQL queries, and manage migrations for PostgreSQL / AlloyDB.
- End-to-End CI/CD & Deployments: Maintain and improve automated deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, building Docker containers and shipping zero-downtime releases to GCP Cloud Run.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability: Provision and manage GCP resources (Cloud Run, AlloyDB, Secrets Manager, Cloud Logging), monitoring health and resolving production bottlenecks.
- Security & Compliance: Uphold security best practices (IAM, secret handling, least privilege, data protection) as we scale enterprise readiness (SOC 2).
What You Bring (Must-Haves)
- True End-to-End Ownership: Proven experience taking a project from a concept to live, monitored production.
- Modern Full-Stack Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js (or Python).
- DevOps & Cloud Fundamentals:
- Confident writing clean Dockerfiles and optimizing container images.
- Practical experience setting up automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
- Hands-on experience with GCP (specifically Cloud Run, Cloud SQL/AlloyDB, IAM) or comparable cloud platforms (AWS ECS/Fargate).
- Database Competence: Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL)—writing performant queries, indexing, and handling schema migrations.
- Hands-on LLM Experience: Pragmatic understanding of LLM integration: function/tool calling, structured outputs, prompt management, and stateful agent frameworks (LangGraph).
- Scrappy & Fast: High bias for action, clear technical communication, and the ability to operate autonomously in an early-stage startup environment.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with integration frameworks or syncing external third-party APIs (e.g., Nango, CRMs, ERPs).
- Experience with vector stores (pgvector, Pinecone) or agent observability tools (LangSmith, Langfuse).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) or database pooling tools (PgBouncer).
- Experience with SOC 2 compliance readiness or security auditing.
