Full Stack Engineer (Javascript/Python)

Kforce's client is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support its engineering team in a cloud modernization and platform improvement initiative.

About the Role

This remote position focuses on retiring legacy technology dependencies, improving platform stability and observability, and advancing cloud modernization efforts. The developer will work across frontend and backend systems, including rewriting the user interface using the latest version of Vue.js, modernizing backend services, and migrating workloads to Google Cloud Platform.

The role requires strong frontend engineering expertise, backend development experience, and hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools. The developer will collaborate closely with an associate-anchor and contractor team in a paired working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Rewrite the existing user interface using the latest version of Vue.js.
• Modernize frontend applications and retire remaining legacy dependencies.
• Rewrite and modernize backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Support cloud migrations, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Improve platform stability, reliability, and observability.
• Implement and maintain reliability and observability tooling.
• Contribute to broader cloud modernization initiatives.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate day-to-day software development.
• Collaborate closely with team members through a paired associate-anchor and contractor working model.

Required Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of frontend software engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Expert-level frontend development skills using JavaScript, particularly Vue.js.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot backend development.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms; Google Cloud Platform is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a paired development environment.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude and/or GitHub Copilot.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Remote position.
• Team based in Atlanta, Georgia.
