Senior Full Stack Developer – .NET, React & Azure

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong background in financial services, asset management, application modernization, and cloud-native development.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, React, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure, along with the ability to evaluate architectural approaches and deliver scalable, secure, high-performance applications.

This is a hands-on senior technical lead position, not a people management role. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernizing legacy applications, designing cloud-native solutions, and collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the modernization and migration of legacy WinForms applications to React-based frontend applications and microservices architectures.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, and Azure Functions.
• Modernize legacy .NET applications into scalable microservices and deploy solutions within Microsoft Azure.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using React, C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, ASP.NET WebForms, and RESTful APIs.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Azure Active Directory.
• Design and develop applications leveraging Entity Framework, LINQ, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS.
• Build and maintain integrations with SQL Server, Snowflake, and other enterprise data platforms.
• Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance using Azure Monitor and related monitoring solutions.
• Evaluate architectural approaches and recommend solutions that improve scalability, availability, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for asset management applications and technology platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate technical recommendations, and support key business decisions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Balance multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high standards for software quality and delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software development experience, preferably within financial services or asset management.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, and React.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications, including WinForms and ASP.NET WebForms, into modern web applications and microservices.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Azure development experience, including:
• Azure App Services
• Azure Functions
• Azure Logic Apps
• Azure Storage
• Azure Active Directory
• Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• 5+ years of SQL development experience, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and database optimization.
• Strong backend experience with SQL Server and Snowflake.
• 5+ years of web application development experience using .NET Core, Entity Framework, REST APIs, and related technologies.
• Frontend development experience with React, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, Web APIs, Web Services, and secure application development.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and application integration.
• Knowledge of high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, database design, and software architecture.
• Experience with Azure monitoring, application performance optimization, and production support.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with technical teams, business partners, and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience within asset management, investment management, or financial services.
• Strong application architecture and technical design experience.
• Experience leading legacy application modernization initiatives.
• Experience migrating monolithic .NET applications to Azure-based microservices.
• Familiarity with enterprise investment management systems and related technology platforms.
• Experience supporting mission-critical financial applications.

The ideal candidate is a senior, hands-on Full Stack Developer / Technical Lead who combines deep expertise in Microsoft technologies with modern React development and Azure cloud architecture.

They should have a proven track record of migrating legacy .NET applications to cloud-native solutions, building scalable microservices, and working with complex enterprise data environments.

Experience in financial services or asset management is particularly valuable, as this role requires an understanding of business-critical applications and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
