About the Role

The company is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer (C#/.NET) to lead a team responsible for developing and enhancing mission-critical payment and billing solutions. This is a player-coach role that combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, architecture ownership, and team development.

You will guide full stack engineers and QA professionals, make key architectural decisions, oversee delivery, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to build reliable, scalable applications. The role also focuses on improving payment processing, billing, payouts, and reconciliation systems while encouraging the effective use of AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of full stack engineers and QA professionals while maintaining strong engineering practices and code quality standards.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using React, TypeScript, .NET, C#, SQL Server, and cloud technologies.
  • Own technical roadmap planning, system architecture, modernization initiatives, API design, and engineering delivery.
  • Build and support microservices, REST APIs, database solutions, and cloud-based applications.
  • Maintain the reliability and accuracy of payment, billing, payout, and reconciliation systems.
  • Support integrations with payment processors and financial platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Promote the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and effective engineering practices.
  • Take responsibility for architecture decisions, delivery outcomes, code quality, and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong full stack expertise in .NET and C#.
  • 2+ years of experience leading engineers as a Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, or in a similar leadership capacity.
  • Hands-on experience building and supporting microservices, REST APIs, and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications in Azure or AWS.
  • Demonstrated ability to own software delivery, make architecture decisions, maintain code quality, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or supporting payment platforms, billing systems, Stripe Connect integrations, ACH/eCheck processing, reconciliation systems, or PCI-compliant applications.
  • Experience with Docker, Terraform, or observability platforms.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, processor migrations, or merchant onboarding.
  • Experience working with financial services products.

Salary & Benefits

  • The listed annual salary range is $175,000–$200,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors.

Location and Work Arrangement

  • This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a remote work arrangement aligned with the Eastern Time Zone (EST).
