Overview

Torus is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer with a focus on API and back-end development to Join our dynamic team as a remote contributor. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining back-end services and APIs that support our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that software solutions meet business challenges effectively while optimizing for performance and scalability.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable APIs and server-side applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Design and implement server-side architecture and database management systems.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Debug and resolve issues related to performance and scalability of applications.
• Participate in the agile development process, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on back-end and API design.
• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively.
