Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement GCP infrastructure solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards.
• Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline application development and deployment.
• Monitor system performance, optimize processes, and troubleshoot issues to enhance reliability.
• Collaborate with software development teams to define operational requirements and ensure that applications can be effectively deployed and maintained.
• Conduct regular system audits and performance checks, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders in the DevOps lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security protocols, and orchestration.
• Certifications related to GCP or DevOps (e.g., Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.

Technologies & Tools

The GCP DevOps Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools including but not limited to Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions), Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab, as well as monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Google Stackdriver.
