Overview

Sapphire Software Solutions Inc. is seeking a proficient GCP DevOps Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is designed for a candidate who will manage cloud infrastructure, automate processes, and facilitate the deployment of applications on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing best practices in continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and leveraging infrastructure as code (IaC) to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment of applications and services.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager to manage infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application performance and user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to deployment processes and infrastructure configurations.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and practices, providing recommendations to improve the cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong experience in DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, security practices, and cloud-native application design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

The GCP DevOps Engineer will work extensively with a variety of technologies and tools in this position, including, but not limited to Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery), Terraform for infrastructure management, Kubernetes for container orchestration, Jenkins for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, as well as version control with Git.
