Job Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the migration of on-premises MongoDB databases to MongoDB Atlas.
• Set up and configure Disaster Recovery (DR) nodes to ensure high availability and data redundancy.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues using monitoring tools and best practices.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring minimal data loss and quick recovery times.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams regarding database best practices.
• Document processes, configurations, and changes to maintain a clear record of the database architecture and migrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with MongoDB, preferably in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, replication, sharding, and Atlas features.
• Experience with database migrations, particularly to MongoDB Atlas.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is essential.
• Proficient in scripting languages and tools for automation and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
