Role Description

The Security Architect / Enterprise Security Architect / Security Solutions Architect designs security controls that protect systems, information, and business services. Responsibilities include assessing risks, reviewing designs, modelling threats, and guiding teams on practical security requirements.

The Security Architect defines controls for systems and platforms. The Enterprise Security Architect sets organisation-wide principles and roadmaps, while the Security Solutions Architect translates business and technical requirements into implementable designs and evaluates how security technologies integrate with existing environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience in security engineering, architecture, infrastructure, or technology risk.
• Strong understanding of identity management, network security, application security, cloud security, and data protection.
• Experience conducting threat modelling, security design reviews, and control assessments.
• Ability to translate business risks into clear security requirements and architectural decisions.
• Knowledge of secure integration patterns, encryption, access controls, monitoring, and resilience.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for explaining designs, risks, and trade-offs.
• For security architect positions, experience guiding implementation and validating controls across relevant systems.
• For enterprise positions, experience developing security principles, reference architectures, governance, and strategic roadmaps.
• For solutions positions, experience evaluating technologies, designing integrations, and supporting implementation; relevant security certifications are advantageous.
