PC Support Specialist

Location: Hauppauge, NY

Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a PC Support Specialist to provide technical support to end users and ensure efficient operation of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide phone, email, and in-person technical support for hardware, software, network, printer, and PC-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose computer problems and determine appropriate solutions.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and perform minor repairs on PCs, software, and peripheral devices.
• Support monitors, keyboards, printers, disk drives, and other computer equipment.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting and coordinate with technical teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain service tickets, problem documentation, and user support records.
• Provide users with technical guidance, training, and documentation.
• Monitor and improve system performance, processes, and service quality.
• Communicate issue status and resolution updates to users and team leads.
• Support workstation ergonomics and assist with cross-functional IT projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of directly related PC support/repair experience, or A+ certification with practical PC repair experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, email, and LAN/WAN networks.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
• Experience installing and repairing computer hardware and software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to document issues, analyze problems, and recommend effective solutions.

Preferred:

A+ Certification, Microsoft Systems Certification, or equivalent technical training.
