Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to support an organization in Frederick, MD. This position is focused on the ownership, development, and continuous improvement of inventory control systems, processes, and strategy.

The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating an existing inventory environment, identifying gaps, implementing stronger controls, and measuring improvements in inventory accuracy and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve inventory control processes and procedures
• Establish and maintain cycle counting, auditing, reconciliation, and inventory accuracy controls
• Determine appropriate stocking levels, reorder points, replenishment strategies, and safety stock
• Analyze historical usage, demand forecasts, and lead times to support inventory decisions
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• Utilize SAP to support inventory management, tracking, analysis, and controls
• Manage inventory involving spare parts, serialized equipment, devices, components, or similar physical assets
• Monitor inventory performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory availability, accuracy, and effective controls

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of inventory control experience OR Associate’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on SAP experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ownership of inventory control processes and systems
• Experience developing, implementing, redesigning, or significantly improving inventory controls and processes
• Experience with inventory accuracy, cycle counting, auditing, and reconciliation
• Experience analyzing and resolving inventory discrepancies

We are specifically seeking someone who has personally owned or influenced how an inventory control program operates, including creating or improving processes, implementing controls, analyzing inventory performance, and driving measurable improvements.
