Job Description
Remote position
About The Company
Technology, Automation, and Management, Inc. delivers technology and automation solutions that support complex business and operational needs. The company values thoughtful engineering, dependable software, and continuous improvement. This position will contribute to the ongoing development of the AGIS application and its supporting Jenkins infrastructure, helping ensure that the platform remains secure, maintainable, and ready to evolve with project requirements.
About The Role
Technology, Automation, and Management, Inc. is seeking a senior technical leader to take ownership of the AGIS application and guide its development through its current phase and future growth. This remote role combines hands-on software engineering with architecture, technical direction, and team collaboration. You will shape complex solutions, guide implementation from initial requirements through delivery, and help establish consistent engineering practices across the project. You will also develop and improve Jenkins plugins, features, and CI/CD workflows tailored to AGIS. The ideal candidate brings sound technical judgment, communicates clearly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and is comfortable balancing strategic planning with practical development work.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will bring substantial experience designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, along with the ability to lead technical work across a project lifecycle. You should be comfortable developing scalable, maintainable solutions and applying secure coding practices, established standards, and sound software design principles. Experience with Jenkins and the development or customization of Jenkins plugins is important, as is practical knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and DevOps practices is expected. You should also have experience conducting code reviews, assessing software quality and performance, and helping teams adopt consistent coding conventions. Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential. The ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements and recommendations will support success in this role.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and continued improvement of the AGIS application, taking responsibility for technical direction and delivery. Define scalable architecture for complex features and modules, and work with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and produce effective software designs. Provide technical guidance to team members, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote a culture of continuous learning. Develop and refine Jenkins plugins and related features to meet AGIS project needs, and design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines that support efficient development and reliable deployments. Lead new feature development from concept through release, coordinating with product managers and stakeholders to understand priorities, evaluate options, and recommend practical approaches. Conduct thorough code reviews, reinforce coding standards, and address concerns related to quality, performance, security, and maintainability. Establish and improve automated testing strategies to protect code integrity and reduce delivery risk. Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, tooling, and technology, and create custom scripts to automate repetitive CI/CD tasks and reduce the potential for human error.
Benefits
This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to perform your work away from a central office while collaborating with project colleagues and stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of a significant application, influence its technical direction, improve development workflows, and contribute to a culture of engineering quality and continuous improvement. Compensation, benefits eligibility, and other employment details will be shared as part of the hiring process.
Equal Opportunity
Technology, Automation, and Management, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities. Employment decisions are made based on role-related qualifications, skills, experience, and business needs. The company welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds and does not tolerate discrimination or harassment in the workplace.
