We are seeking a knowledgeable IT Specialist to deliver hands-on support and maintenance for our infrastructure and end-user systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for servers, workstations and applications; troubleshoot hardware, OS and software issues and resolve escalated incidents.
  • Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP; manage user accounts, permissions and directory services.
  • Support Microsoft 365/Office 365 and Exchange Server administration, including mailbox management, mail flow, and hybrid deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automation and scripts using PowerShell, Bash and Python to streamline repetitive tasks, deployments and monitoring.
  • Design, configure and maintain network infrastructure: routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and network diagnostics (ping, traceroute, Wireshark).
  • Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), wireless networks and remote access solutions (RDP/Citrix).
  • Deploy and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V, and maintain virtualized workloads and templates.
  • Manage cloud services and infrastructure in AWS and Azure, including VM provisioning, storage and basic cloud networking.
  • Maintain backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, Backup Exec), SAN/NAS storage systems and storage management procedures; support disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Operate monitoring and logging platforms (Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk), respond to alerts and tune monitoring to reduce false positives.
  • Support endpoint management and security: endpoint antivirus, patch management, SCCM/ConfigMgr and Intune/MDM for mobile device management.
  • Implement identity and access management controls, enforce multifactor authentication (MFA) and maintain SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to manage change, maintain technical documentation, follow ITIL incident/change/problem workflows and participate in on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in systems and network administration supporting enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and familiarity with Bash and Python scripting for automation.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365/Office 365, Exchange Server and email system administration.
  • Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, and network troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark).
  • Experience with firewalls, VPN technologies (IPSec/SSL) and wireless/WiFi management.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and cloud-based services and tooling.
  • Proven experience with backup & recovery solutions (Veeam, Backup Exec) and SAN/NAS storage management.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Knowledge of security best practices, endpoint protection, identity & access management, MFA and SSL/TLS.
  • Experience with SCCM/ConfigMgr, Intune/MDM, SQL Server or MySQL is desirable.
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting skills, remote support (RDP/Citrix), and experience with patch management.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and experience participating in incident and change management.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CompTIA Network+/Security+, MCSA/MCSE, VMware (VCP), AWS/Azure associate, CCNA, or equivalent.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary: $80,000 - $90,000
  • Medical, Dental, Vision Package
  • Flexible PTO - you deserve plenty of breaks!
