Java Developer - W2

Role: Java Developer 

Location: Remote

Must Have: AWS, Python, Springboot

Role Description This is a remote, W2 contract role for a Java Developer. The Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, with a focus on building and enhancing microservices using the Spring Framework. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders. The role also involves optimizing application performance, implementing best practices in software development, and contributing to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Java and general Programming, with experience in object-oriented design and coding best practices.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development, including application design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Practical knowledge of Microservices architecture, including building, deploying, and integrating distributed services.
• Proficiency with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data) for backend application development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, integration patterns, and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with build and version control tools (such as Maven/Gradle and Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
