Java Software Engineer

You will contribute to the design, development and ongoing enhancement of engineering frameworks supporting critical risk technology systems. Responsibilities include delivering defined technical solutions, upholding engineering standards, supporting junior team members, and collaborating with testing teams, architects and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and write clean, maintainable, well-tested Java code, and perform debugging and root-cause analysis of framework and integration issues.
• Design, develop and enhance automation testing framework features, and support adoption by testing teams.
• Participate in code reviews, follow engineering standards and best practices.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD automation using Jenkins and containerized deployment with Docker.
• Support secure software delivery by integrating and acting on findings from SonarQube
• Support testing teams by resolving automation framework issues, escalating complex problems as needed, and identifying recurring problems to eliminate at the source.

Technical Skills:

• Strong Java skills and hands on experience with Spring Boot.
• Hands on experience of Kafka including producers, consumers, topics, partitioning and delivery semantics.
• Hands on experience with AWS Services, and an understanding of cloud based design.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for database systems such as PostgreSQL.
• Hands on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
