Junior Cyber Security Analyst

This employer is hiring for a Cyber Defense Analyst to support critical security operations and incident response efforts within a high-stakes technical environment. The role focuses on maintaining network integrity, identifying potential threats, and ensuring compliance with established security protocols.

The Role

• Perform defensive cyber operations and security service provider duties to improve enterprise-wide security posture.

• Conduct preliminary analysis, identification, and response actions to detect and mitigate cyber incidents.

• Investigate security events from start to finish, including data collection, analysis, and comprehensive reporting.

• Document incident response steps while maintaining strict chain of custody for all evidence and artifacts.

• Collaborate with internal and external agencies to address insider threats and support security investigations.

What You'll Need

• At least 1 year of general full-time work experience and 6 months of directly related experience in information security, cybersecurity, or enterprise-level monitoring.

• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.

• Possession of, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, a relevant industry certification such as CySA+, CEH, or equivalent.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment and travel as required.
