Overview

Patterned Learning Career is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance, and scalability of our web applications while collaborating closely with software development and operations teams. Your focus will be on automating processes, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to enhance system stability and improve user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining the health of production systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement effective monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Support incident management processes by responding to and resolving production incidents.
• Automate repetitive tasks through scripts and tools to improve efficiency.
• Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and standards for site reliability engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with scripting languages e.g., Python, Bash, or Go.
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
