Overview

HireMeFast LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our remote team. This role will involve collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure that our systems are reliable, scalable, and efficient. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of automation solutions, actively monitor system health, and support incident management efforts to enhance overall service reliability.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure and software systems.
• Monitor application performance and system availability, responding to alerts and issues as they arise.
• Participate in incident response efforts, troubleshooting problems and ensuring prompt resolution.
• Implement automation tools and scripts to reduce manual operational tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability into the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to capacity planning and performance monitoring to ensure scalability of services.
• Document processes, incidents, and changes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and basic command-line skills.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

Technologies & Tools

In this position, the Junior Site Reliability Engineer will primarily work with technologies and tools including but not limited to: cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana, configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform, and version control systems like Git.
