Job Overview

The Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Sportserve will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our applications and services. Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain system performance through proactive identification and resolution of incidents.
• Assist in deploying and configuring new applications and services while adhering to best practices.
• Work collaboratively with software engineering teams to implement automation solutions.
• Participate in on-call duties to provide support during critical incidents and outages.
• Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance development workflows.
• Maintain system security and compliance through regular reviews and updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems and experience in command-line interface.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Technologies & Tools

The Junior SRE will engage with an array of technologies and tools, including but not limited to cloud services (AWS, Azure), container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker), and monitoring software (Prometheus, Grafana).
