Job Overview

The Lead Engineer (ETL/Cloud) - Remote, with fluency in Spanish, will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL processes within our cloud data solutions. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into cloud environments.
• Collaborate with data architects and other stakeholders to define data structures and ensure data governance and quality standards are met.
• Optimize existing ETL workflows for maximum efficiency and scalability within cloud platforms.
• Lead technical discussions and provide solutions to complex data engineering problems while mentoring junior engineers.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in ETL and cloud computing to continuously improve the team's capabilities.
• Document processes, design patterns, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring of ETL pipelines in cloud environments.
• Support the development of solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders while ensuring regulatory compliance concerning data handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering.
• Proficiency in ETL tools such as Apache NiFi, Informatica, or Talend.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Fluency in Spanish (both written and verbal) is required.
• Deep understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
