Title: Lead Integrations Engineer
Time: Full-Time (East Coast hours)
Location: Remote (US-based)
Compensation: $157,000 - $189,000/year USD + Equity
The Company
Our client is an enterprise AI and software platform accelerating research and development for the chemistry and materials science industries. Operating in over 30 countries, their platform digitalizes R&D and equips scientists with specialized AI to bring better products to market faster. With $55M in total funding and a rapidly expanding global team, they are transforming how modern enterprises invent and manage complex scientific data.
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Lead Integrations Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own enterprise data integrations and migrations from start to finish. In this post-sales role combining data engineering and solutions engineering, you will take signed statements of work, conduct final-mile scoping, and deliver end-to-end integration solutions for major global chemical enterprises. You will build robust data pipelines, connect customer systems with our client's platform, and collaborate directly with customer IT teams and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
• Own integration projects end to end from scoping through go-live, typically across six-month deployment cycles
• Build customer-specific data connectors and pipelines on a standardized integration harness, with an emphasis on modern data architectures like Databricks
• Sync critical enterprise data (such as SAP raw-material lot numbers) into the platform so scientists have real-time visibility into inventory and materials
• Partner with customer IT teams to establish system connectivity, including IP whitelisting and network protocols
• Work with subject matter experts to define data mapping and transformation rules, advising clients on best practices for data structure
• Utilize AI coding agents to accelerate builds while applying strong engineering judgment to review, validate, and test all outputs
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer engagements, running kickoff syncs, regular milestone check-ins, and async updates alongside dedicated engagement managers
• Travel to customer sites approximately once per quarter for planning and launch milestones
Qualifications
• 5 to 15 years of experience in software engineering, integrations engineering, data engineering, or solutions engineering
• Proven track record of owning and scoping technical data or integration projects end to end rather than working primarily from assigned tickets
• Demonstrated customer-facing experience leading complex integration projects involving APIs, data synchronization, or system orchestration
• Hands-on expertise with ETL processes and data pipeline architectures
• Strong proficiency in Python or Node.js
• Deep familiarity with RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and AWS services (ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, EventBridge)
• Solid understanding of enterprise integration environments and protocols (SAP, OAuth2, SAML, JWT, SSO)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss technical concepts credibly with client IT teams and stakeholders
• Based in the United States and able to work East Coast hours
• Willingness to travel for customer visits approximately once per quarter
