Position Title: Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack & Microservices

Experience: 5+ years | Character Count: Under 2,200

Primary Responsibilities

End-to-End Application Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of medium-to-large enterprise applications, ensuring high-quality design, development, testing, and deployment.

Architecture & Innovation: Partner with cross-functional teams to design robust solutions, drive system enhancements, integrate innovative technologies, and provide optimal design alternatives.

Production Support & Troubleshooting: Monitor production systems, participate in on-call rotation, and rapidly resolve complex L3 technical issues.

Reliability & Performance Optimization: Ensure 24/7 application availability, eliminate performance bottlenecks, and implement proactive monitoring/alerting mechanisms.

Required Skills & Attributes

Core Development & APIs: 5+ years with Java/J2EE (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), Node.js, GraphQL, and REST/SOAP microservices.

Databases & Environment: 5+ years of SQL database optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2) and 3+ years in UNIX/Linux scripting and file manipulation.

Messaging Event Streaming: 3+ years with MQ, WMQ, or Kafka for asynchronous communication patterns.

DevOps, Cloud Observability: 3+ years configuring CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Terraform), cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, OpenShift), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and log monitoring (Splunk, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana).

Agile SDLC: 5+ years across the full SDLC; 3+ years in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments with Git.

Mandatory AI Capabilities: Enterprise-mandated proficiency (90%+ weekly active usage) in approved GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot) for code generation, documentation, and analysis.

Preferred Skills Attributes

Cloud Security: Experience with cloud-native architectures, AWS Lambda, secure coding practices, IAM, and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

System Tuning: Hands-on experience optimizing Java application runtime, complex SQL queries, and infrastructure performance.

Preferred Background & Domain Expertise

Background in financial services, healthcare, or e-commerce.

Proven track record supporting mission-critical enterprise systems handling high-volume transactions and real-time event streams.
