Live-In Housekeeper /Household Manager

A busy, active family in Westlake is seeking a reliable, warm, and professional live-in Housekeeper/Family Assistant to support the household and three children (ages 13, 6, and 2). The salary is $120,000.00. This is a full-time, long-term role emphasizing consistency, discretion, and a positive family-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will become a trusted extension of the household while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

• Experience with children — comfortable around kids of varying ages, including when they are sick.

• Technologically comfortable — able to use apps for grocery/supply ordering, scheduling, and household management.

• Flexible for occasional travel with the family. 

Schedule

• Primary hours: 6:30 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday (approximately 13.5 hours/day).

• Days off: Saturday and Sunday. Evening plans on weekends should be coordinated in advance.

• Evenings / as-needed: Responsible for childcare support in the evenings (e.g., responding to children’s needs). These hours are paid in addition to the base compensation. Keeps baby monitor in room.

• Live-in arrangement: Professionally decorated Private room with en-suite bathroom and all food provided in the home.

This is a live-in position with the flexibility and support that comes with residing on-site, while respecting dedicated time off.

Primary Job Functions

• Meal Preparation: Cook simple, healthy breakfasts and dinners for the family.

• Light Housekeeping: Daily tidying (making beds), light cleaning (kitchen and bathrooms and as needed) between visits from our regular housekeeping service. Laundry and folding for the family.

• Childcare Support / Backup: Some driving of children and serve as backup for the full-time daily nanny. General assistance with the children (13-year-old boy, 6-year-old girl, 2-year-old boy), including understanding that children get sick and being comfortable working around minor illnesses.

• Transportation: Occasional driving for kids (only as needed; there is a dedicated nanny for most daily child transport) and errands

• Household Management: Grocery shopping (online when possible) , running errands, ordering supplies, and coordinating with vendors (e.g., scheduling and interacting with HVAC, plumber, electrician, or other service appointments).

• Pet Care: Assist with the family dog (potty breaks, feeding, vet/grooming appointments).

• Other: Light administrative support, maintaining household organization.

The role focuses on proactive, thoughtful support that helps the household run smoothly without micromanagement.

Compensation & Benefits (High-End Competitive Package)

The family values reliability and excellence and is offering compensation at the high end of the DFW market for an experienced candidate:

• Base compensation: Guaranteed weekly pay structured to equate to $450 per standard day / $2,250 weekly guarantee). This is paid every two weeks via direct deposit with additional hours paid separately.

• Evening / additional hours: Paid at $35/hour for childcare or other duties outside core daytime hours.

• Comprehensive benefits:

Employment Type: W-2 household employee. Professional payroll services are used for accurate tax withholding, filings, and compliance.

• Trial / probation period: 60 days to ensure mutual fit.
