Job Description
About The Company
CrowdStrike is a global cybersecurity leader whose mission is to stop breaches and protect the people, processes, and technologies that power modern organizations. Since 2011, the company has helped redefine security through its AI-native platform and commitment to continuous innovation. CrowdStrike’s systems process nearly three trillion events each day, supporting customers across industries and helping keep their businesses operating and communities safe.
At CrowdStrike, employees—known as CrowdStrikers—are encouraged to build their careers with flexibility and autonomy while contributing to a collaborative, customer-focused culture. The company embraces responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation, using an AI-first mindset to accelerate execution, develop expertise, uncover insights, and solve complex challenges.
About The Role
CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join its growing AIDR Engineering team. In this role, you will partner with data scientists and fellow engineers to develop and deliver machine learning solutions that support the team’s products and customer needs. You will help translate research, analytical approaches, and real-world security challenges into reliable, scalable engineering systems.
This position is suited to an experienced engineer who can work across the machine learning lifecycle, from understanding a problem and evaluating approaches to implementing, deploying, and improving production-ready solutions. You will contribute to systems operating at significant scale and collaborate with colleagues across technical disciplines. The successful candidate brings strong engineering judgment, curiosity, and a commitment to building technology that helps customers defend against evolving threats.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will bring substantial experience in software engineering and practical knowledge of machine learning systems. You should be comfortable working with data scientists to turn models and analytical ideas into maintainable, production-quality software. Experience designing and operating distributed systems, handling large datasets, or developing high-throughput services will be valuable in this environment.
You should have strong programming skills in a language commonly used for machine learning or backend engineering, along with familiarity with software development fundamentals, testing, code review, and version control. The role calls for the ability to investigate ambiguous problems, communicate technical decisions clearly, and balance experimentation with reliability and security. Experience with cloud infrastructure, model deployment, monitoring, or cybersecurity is beneficial. A degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience—is welcome.
Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and maintain machine learning engineering solutions in collaboration with data scientists, product partners, and other engineers. Help integrate models and data-driven capabilities into robust systems that can support demanding production workloads. Contribute to architecture and implementation decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, observable, maintainable, and appropriate for customer-facing use.
Develop and improve data and model workflows, identify performance or reliability issues, and use sound engineering practices to address them. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and planning, and document systems and decisions so that work can be understood and extended by the team. Evaluate emerging tools and approaches responsibly, share knowledge, and help the team continuously improve its engineering practices. Keep customer outcomes, security, and the company’s mission to stop breaches at the center of your work.
Benefits
CrowdStrike offers the opportunity to work on meaningful cybersecurity challenges alongside talented colleagues in a mission-driven, innovative environment. Employees are supported in developing their careers through flexibility, autonomy, collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to advanced AI and security technologies. Specific benefits and eligibility may vary by location and employment arrangement.
Equal Opportunity
CrowdStrike is committed to building an inclusive workplace and providing equal employment opportunities. Employment decisions are made without discrimination on any basis protected by applicable law. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences who share our commitment to innovation, customer protection, and stopping breaches.
