Role Description The Manufacturing Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. This role supports daily production of baked goods by measuring and preparing ingredients, operating and monitoring baking and packaging equipment, and following standardized recipes and procedures. The Manufacturing Assistant helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adheres to food safety and quality guidelines, and assists with labeling, packing, and staging products for shipment. Responsibilities also include collaborating with team members to meet production schedules, reporting equipment or quality issues promptly, and supporting inventory tasks such as receiving supplies and restocking materials.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing and production skills, including basic food-handling knowledge and ability to follow standardized procedures.
• Quality Control skills, with attention to detail for product consistency, safety, and compliance with company standards.
• Logistics Management awareness, such as understanding workflow, product staging, and coordination with packaging and shipping.
• Teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move moderate weights, and work in a production environment with strict hygiene and safety requirements.
• Basic math and reading skills for measuring ingredients, following recipes, and completing production records.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing, baking, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
