Job Description
Location: City of Industry, California
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Marketing Director
About Cooler Master:
At Cooler Master, we don't just launch products—we bring people, processes, and ideas together to deliver exceptional results.
As our global product portfolio and marketing organization continue to grow, we are building a more connected, efficient, and results-driven marketing operation. This requires clear workflows, stronger cross-functional collaboration, greater project visibility, and consistent execution across global and regional teams.
We are looking for a proactive, process-oriented Marketing Operations Manager (PJM) to help build and improve the operating framework behind our North American marketing organization. This role will work closely with the Marketing Director and collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Creative, PR, Social Media, Digital, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), Channel Marketing, and global stakeholders.
Beyond managing schedules and project trackers, you will take ownership of operational workflows, strengthen project governance, identify process bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement. You will help transform complex, cross-functional initiatives into structured, measurable, and repeatable processes.
If you enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, solving operational challenges, and building systems that help teams perform better, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how Cooler Master Marketing operates and scales.
Position Overview
The Marketing Operations Manager (PJM) is responsible for establishing and maintaining the processes, systems, and coordination mechanisms that enable effective marketing execution across North America and global teams.
The primary focus is implementing and governing Cooler Master's C0–C6 product development and marketing workflow, coordinating cross-functional marketing projects, improving communication and accountability, and developing scalable operational practices.
You will serve as the operational partner to the Marketing Director, ensuring that project milestones, approvals, deliverables, risks, and decisions are visible and properly managed.
This is an ownership-driven role that requires independent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and the ability to turn evolving business requirements into practical workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
1. C0–C6 Workflow Implementation & Governance
- Lead the operational implementation and continuous improvement of Cooler Master's C0–C6 product development and marketing workflow.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Creative, PR, Social Media, D2C, and other stakeholders to define workflow stages, responsibilities, deliverables, dependencies, and approval checkpoints.
- Translate existing process requirements into practical project schedules, templates, tracking tools, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate stage-gate review meetings and ensure required documentation, decisions, approvals, and follow-up actions are recorded.
- Develop dashboards to provide visibility into product development milestones, marketing readiness, launch schedules, pending approvals, and potential delays.
- Identify process bottlenecks, clarify ownership gaps, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accountability.
- Coordinate workflow alignment between global business units, product marketing, and regional marketing teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes to schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
2. Cross-Functional Marketing Project Management
- Establish and maintain a centralized marketing project calendar, milestone tracker, and project management framework.
- Coordinate project timelines and deliverables across Product Marketing, PR, Creative, Social Media, Digital, D2C, Channel Marketing, and regional teams.
- Support project planning, kickoff, execution, review, and closure.
- Work with functional owners to clarify project scope, responsibilities, deadlines, dependencies, and expected deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule conflicts and execution risks, and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
- Escalate unresolved issues, resource conflicts, and potential delays to the Marketing Director with practical recommendations.
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly project reviews to evaluate progress, execution effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.
3. Meeting Governance, Communication & Leadership Support
- Organize and facilitate recurring marketing meetings, project reviews, stage-gate reviews, and cross-functional alignment sessions.
- Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, project updates, and supporting documentation.
- Document meeting minutes, decisions, action items, accountable owners, and deadlines.
- Maintain centralized action trackers and follow up on outstanding or overdue items through completion or formal resolution.
- Support the Marketing Director with leadership updates, operational reports, project summaries, and decision-making materials.
- Develop standardized reporting formats that highlight project status, milestones, risks, dependencies, and issues requiring management attention.
- Improve information flow, communication consistency, and alignment between global and regional marketing teams.
4. Marketing Systems, Templates & Process Optimization
- Evaluate existing project management tools, workflows, and reporting practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop standardized templates for project briefs, campaign requests, meeting minutes, launch checklists, timelines, status reports, and project evaluations.
- Establish consistent documentation standards, version control, naming conventions, and document management practices.
- Improve project intake, approval workflows, cross-functional handoffs, and escalation procedures.
- Explore opportunities to automate routine processes, task assignments, reminders, and reporting.
- Develop onboarding materials and operating guidelines to help team members adopt established workflows.
- Gather stakeholder feedback, assess process effectiveness, and implement practical improvements that reduce administrative overhead and improve productivity.
5. Major Events & Marketing Activation Support
- Support operational coordination for major Cooler Master events and marketing initiatives, including CES, COMPUTEX, and other priority events.
- Collaborate with the Event Project Manager and relevant marketing teams to establish schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverable requirements.
- Coordinate marketing-related deliverables, including presentations, product information, videos, creative assets, PR materials, and campaign content.
- Track readiness, identify potential delays, and communicate risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Support event planning meetings, cross-functional coordination, and action-item follow-up.
- Ensure alignment between event objectives, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
- Conduct post-event operational reviews and document lessons learned for future improvements.
The Event Project Manager retains ownership of overall event planning, logistics, vendors, and execution. This role focuses on marketing workflow integration, milestone coordination, and operational visibility.
6. Operational Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve operational planning, project prioritization, resource visibility, and workload distribution.
- Support quarterly marketing planning and prioritization discussions.
- Analyze project capacity, workflow efficiency, execution bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve cycle times.
- Research and recommend relevant marketing operations best practices, tools, and working methods.
- Explore project management automation, AI-assisted workflows, and reporting solutions where appropriate.
- Develop recommendations that improve productivity, reduce unnecessary complexity, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
- Prepare operational reviews and improvement roadmaps to support the continued development of the marketing organization.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations, program coordination, or a related discipline; experience in consumer technology, hardware, or consumer electronics is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and competing deadlines.
- Experience developing or implementing workflows, standard operating procedures, project tracking systems, and process documentation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate clearly with different stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Trello, Asana, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, presentation tools, and project reporting.
- Ability to develop dashboards, track milestones, manage dependencies, and provide actionable project status updates.
- Experience with process automation, workflow optimization, or AI-assisted productivity tools is a plus.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across different functions, business units, and regions.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and take ownership without requiring detailed instructions for every task.
Personal Attributes
- Ownership-oriented: Takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on commitments, and communicates challenges early.
- Proactive problem-solver: Anticipates bottlenecks, identifies root causes, and proposes practical solutions rather than simply reporting problems.
- Process-minded: Enjoys building structure, simplifying complexity, and creating repeatable ways of working.
- Strong communicator: Connects stakeholders, clarifies expectations, and ensures decisions translate into action.
- Collaborative and diplomatic: Builds productive relationships across teams with different priorities and working styles.
- Adaptable: Remains effective when priorities, schedules, and requirements change.
- Continuous learner: Actively explores new tools, methods, and opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
First-Year Success Expectations
During the first 12 months, success in this role will be measured by the ability to establish sustainable processes, improve execution discipline, and demonstrate measurable operational impact.
Key objectives include:
- C0–C6 workflow implementation: Map the workflow, clarify stakeholder responsibilities, launch pilot projects, and achieve at least 90% adoption across the agreed portfolio of eligible active projects by Month 12.
- Project management and schedule reliability: Establish a centralized marketing project tracker and master calendar, maintain accurate records for at least 95% of agreed priority initiatives, and achieve an agreed improvement in on-time milestone completion.
- Meeting governance and accountability: Implement standardized meeting documentation and action tracking, with at least 95% of coordinated meeting minutes distributed within two working days.
- Cross-functional process adoption: Achieve at least 90% adoption of agreed project management procedures across participating stakeholder groups and target an average stakeholder satisfaction score of 4.2/5.
- Major event readiness: Establish milestone tracking for assigned priority events and target at least 95% on-time completion of assigned marketing deliverables.
- Continuous improvement: Implement at least four approved process improvements, introduce at least two meaningful workflow or reporting automation improvements where appropriate, and demonstrate a measurable reduction in cycle time for a selected repeatable workflow.
Performance targets will be reviewed with the Marketing Director during onboarding to establish appropriate baselines, confirm project scope, and account for available tools and stakeholder participation.
Growth Opportunity
This position offers direct exposure to marketing leadership, global operations, cross-functional program management, and organizational planning.
Over time, the role can expand beyond project coordination into broader marketing portfolio governance, operational planning, resource prioritization, process automation, and marketing operations leadership, depending on business needs and demonstrated performance.
We are looking for someone who wants to do more than maintain existing processes—someone who can challenge the status quo, build better systems, and help Cooler Master develop a more efficient, connected, and scalable marketing organization.
