About the Opportunity:

The MEDICAL BILLING CUSTOMER SUPPORT 1ST SHIFT REMOTE role serves as a critical connection for patients beginning their respiratory therapy journey. This position is responsible for accurate patient intake, insurance verification, and coordination of services, ensuring patients receive timely and compliant respiratory care. By facilitating smooth order processing and supporting patient education, this role contributes directly to patient satisfaction and effective healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient satisfaction calls and advocate for patients to resolve concerns
• Coordinate order fulfillment with field locations to ensure timely delivery
• Educate patients on therapy products and services
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations
• Manage new order intake, ensuring accuracy in clinical, billing, and care documentation
• Perform quality assurance checks to meet documentation and medical necessity standards
• Serve as first contact for patients, referral sources, and internal teams
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations
• Use proprietary systems to manage patient records
• Work independently in a remote setting
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Preferred experience with medical equipment, billing practices, healthcare administration, patient intake, or insurance verification
• One year related work experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations accurately
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency with email, internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and office equipment
• Valid driver’s license with clean record if applicable
• Compliance with background checks, drug screening, and credentialing as required

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Starting pay at $15.25 per hour for 1st shift plus quarterly bonus opportunity
