Type: 3-month contract with potential for conversion

Pay: $22-$26/hour

Schedule: 8:30 a.m. start time

Job Description

The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating patient appointments and treatments efficiently and in a timely manner within a busy oncology practice. The position will focus primarily on chemotherapy and infusion scheduling while coordinating patient schedules, referrals, and authorizations and serving as a liaison between patients and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments and treatments.
• Schedule chemotherapy and infusion appointments.
• Manage patient schedules in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Coordinate referrals and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff.
• Provide scheduling support while managing multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Provide occasional support at sister-site locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of scheduling experience in gastroenterology, oncology, radiation, urology, or surgery; OR
• 3+ years of scheduling experience in a general medical practice.
• Experience using scheduling systems, EMR, or related healthcare software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and interruptions.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to sister sites for additional support.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with insurance authorizations, referrals, or specialty healthcare scheduling.

Compensation & Benefits

$22/hour to $26/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
