Job Description
Required Qualifications
- Years in network operations, NOC or backbone/transport support
- Hands-on IP troubleshooting: BGP, IS-IS/OSPF, MPLS, LAG/ECMP, interface errors and optics
- Working knowledge of DWDM/optical transport: OSNR, optical power budgets, amplification, coherent optics (100G/400G/800G)
- Experience with ticketing systems and SLA-driven incident management
- Comfortable with alarm and monitoring tools and reading device CLIs (e.g., Juniper, Arista, Cisco; Ciena, Infinera, Nokia optical)
- Strong written communication for ticket updates and vendor escalations
- Able to work shifts, weekends and on-call
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNP/JNCIP or vendor optical certs (Ciena, Infinera)
- Experience with subsea or long-haul fiber operations and OSP restoration
- Scripting or automation (Python, SQL) for triage or reporting
