Personal Lines Servicing Agent

Salary Range: Hourly - $18 - $25 per hour + commission

Personal Lines Servicing Agents at Redbud Insurance Services are essential to our front of office operations. Their workstations are strategically positioned at our front desk, and they are responsible for greeting customers both in person and on the phone. Their primary focus is providing general service to both current and new customers, while maintaining daily office flow according to policies and procedures outlines in their roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

·        High school diploma or equivalent required.

·        2-5 years’ experience in office setting or equivalent experience required.

·        Hold an active State Property & Casualty Insurance License.

·        Knowledge of insurance products and industry practices or ability to learn.

·        Proficient in basic computer use, systems, and software.

·        Pass background screening.

·        Reliable transportation to and from work.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·        Ensure customer retention by building strong, long-term client relationships by providing prompt, professional and empathetic service at all times.

·        Provide competitive personal lines quotes to both current and potential clients. This includes but not limited to: Auto, Home, Umbrella and Farm.

·        File claims on behalf of current clients. Work as liaison between client and Carrier when needed to ensure proper claims handling and customer satisfaction.

·        Monitor annual customer renewals. Watch for rates increases and re-quote and present to client on as needed basis determined size of increase.

·        Learn and develop strong understanding Carrier products.

·        Process personal lines endorsements.

·        Process personal lines payments.

·        Take the initiative to stay informed on current market trends, industry changes and emerging risks.

·        Participate in seminars and classes for continuous learning and skills development.

·        Maintain Michigan Insurance license by completing required State requirements and continuing education.

·        Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with requirements.
