Job Description

Seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to design, develop, and operate a scalable platform for migrating large volumes of object data from OBSv2 or S3-compatible storage to Amazon S3.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build migration workflows using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, ECS Fargate, AWS Batch, SQS, and DynamoDB.
• Develop Python automation using boto3 and operate rclone for high-volume data transfers.
• Implement migration monitoring, retries, throttling, bandwidth allocation, and validation.
• Manage AWS S3 storage, cross-account IAM access, networking, and security.
• Build CloudWatch dashboards, alarms, logging, and operational reporting.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, production support, runbooks, and technical documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

• AWS Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
• ECS Fargate, AWS Batch, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Strong Python, boto3, and rclone experience.
• Object storage migration and high-volume data transfer.
• AWS networking, IAM, cross-account access, and CloudWatch.
• GitLab CI/CD and production operations.

Preferred: Dell ECS/OBSv2, enterprise-scale migrations, multi-account AWS architecture, and regulated environments.
