Overview

The Platform Engineering Architect - AWS at Orion Innovation will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust cloud-based infrastructure solutions. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services.
• Architect and manage scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to define requirements and specifications.
• Conduct evaluations and improve existing applications for performance and efficiency.
• Ensure cloud solutions comply with security and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture and services.
• Monitor and optimize cloud operations, ensuring reliability and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in cloud architecture and engineering, specifically with AWS.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ability to design and implement multi-cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred.
