About the role

We’re looking for an organized, food-loving Prep Cook to help bring our content shoots to life. You’ll shop for groceries, prep ingredients and get dishes camera-ready, so our team can focus on filming. If you love cooking, care about detail and like working in a creative, fast-moving environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

• Plan and buy groceries and ingredients from shot lists and recipes
• Wash, chop, measure, marinate and portion ingredients ahead of each shoot
• Cook and assemble dishes so they look fresh and appetizing on camera
• Prepare “step-by-step” stages of a recipe (raw, mid-cook, finished) when a shoot needs them
• Keep the kitchen and prep area clean, safe and organized before, during and after shoots
• Track grocery spend and keep receipts in order
• Work with the content team to adjust prep as shoot plans change

What we’re looking for

• Experience in food prep, line cooking, catering, food styling or a similar kitchen role
• Solid knife skills and knowledge of food safety and handling
• Strong organization and time management, so everything is ready when the camera is
• Reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable with changing plans
• Based in New York City, or able to commute easily
• Bonus: experience on photo or video shoots, or an interest in food content and social media
• Bonus: NYC Food Protection Certificate or ServSafe certification
