Overview

The Principal Consulting Software Engineer - DevOps (GCP), Kubernetes at LexisNexis Risk Solutions will play a critical role in driving innovation and operational excellence across our software development lifecycle. Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based applications on GCP using Kubernetes.
• Lead the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to enhance software delivery and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to create functional specifications and design solutions that meet business requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, ensuring high-quality software output.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications in production, implementing solutions for performance improvements and operational efficiency.
• Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development and cloud computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on DevOps and cloud technologies.
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Demonstrated knowledge of containerization, microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go and configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
