Job Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Automate deployment processes utilizing CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish best practices for code quality and performance.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize deployment strategies.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies to enhance automation.
• Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Lead efforts to adopt and implement DevOps tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering and/or DevOps roles.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach towards challenges.

Technologies & Tools

The Principal DevOps Engineer will primarily work with the following technologies and tools: AWS or Azure for cloud services, Docker and Kubernetes for containerization, Jenkins or GitLab CI for continuous integration, Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code, and various monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
