Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance infrastructure for our SaaS platform.
• Implement SRE best practices to improve system reliability and uptime, including monitoring and alerting protocols.
• Lead root cause analysis for outages and develop post-mortem reports to ensure lessons learned are documented and actionable.
• Automate operational tasks to enhance efficiency and to streamline software development processes.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define service-level objectives (SLOs) and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies that enhance system performance and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding to incidents and providing support during outages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing services, particularly AWS or GCP.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Technologies & Tools

This position will require proficiency with various technologies and tools, including cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes), configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog). Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB, will also be beneficial.
