Job Responsibilities

• Drive incident response protocols, leading investigations and ensuring swift resolution of security-related incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into application development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, availability, and reliability, generating actionable insights to enhance security posture.
• Develop documentation, guidelines, and standards regarding security best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within existing systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends and potential threats, proposing innovations to enhance security technologies and frameworks.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in security practices and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning frameworks, with a focus on their security implications.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python, Go, Java, etc.) for automation and tool development.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance regulations (ISO, NIST, GDPR, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technologies & Tools

The Principal SRE will be engaging with various technologies including but not limited to cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for deployment and management purposes. Additionally, proficiency in security tools such as SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners, and configuration management tools will be essential.
