Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain robust infrastructure and tooling for security practices across AI systems.
• Monitor system performance and establish metrics for reliability and security effectiveness.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
• Lead incident response and problem management efforts to mitigate risks and improve system reliability.
• Advocate and enforce best practices in security and SRE methodologies within the development lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SRE team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems architecture, security protocols, and operational procedures.
• Engage in tactical planning to support the scaling of AI applications and infrastructure over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of AI security concepts and methodologies.
• Proficiency with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Solid knowledge of container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with incident management tools and practices in a high-availability environment.

Technologies & Tools

The Principal SRE will work with an array of advanced technologies and tools, including but not limited to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization and orchestration tools (such as Docker and Kubernetes), monitoring solutions (like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar), scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Familiarity with security frameworks and tools specifically designed for AI systems will also be essential for this role.
