Overview

The Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Jobot will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our AI Security products in a fast-paced startup environment. This position requires a deep understanding of both site reliability engineering and security principles, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The Principal SRE will be responsible for driving innovative solutions that enhance our systems, ensuring that our AI-driven products meet the highest standards for security and performance while scaling efficiently as we grow.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust engineering solutions to monitor and ensure the reliability of our AI Security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software development teams to identify and resolve production issues proactively.
• Manage incident response efforts, coordinate cross-team responses, and conduct post-mortems to improve future reliability.
• Develop and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement practices in both security measures and operational processes through automation and best practices.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Mentor and provide leadership to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support as needed, ensuring system reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong expertise in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Comprehensive understanding of computer security and networking principles.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Go, or Bash.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong emphasis on security practices.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and initiatives.

Technologies & Tools

The Principal SRE will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, as well as monitoring and log management solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack. Familiarity with security frameworks and system hardening practices will also be emphasized, ensuring a secure environment for AI deployments.
