💼 Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire, with full-time conversion expected within 3– 6 months based on performance

💰 Contract Rate: $90/hr on C2C/ 1099 OR $80–$85/hour on W2.

Experience Level: 10+ years

💼 Conversion: $150K–$170K base + bonus and benefits

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Python Developer to lead the development of secure, scalable AI applications for a healthcare payer organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production-grade Python applications, APIs, and AI-powered services.
• Develop, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and monitor ML, NLP, LLM, and SLM solutions.
• Build AI agents using RAG, embeddings, vector search, tool calling, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Develop Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake data pipelines and Lakehouse solutions.
• Implement medical document ingestion, OCR, extraction, classification, and summarization.
• Establish MLOps, CI/CD, model monitoring, security, and responsible AI practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Python software engineering, API development, and system design skills.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production ML, NLP, Generative AI, and agentic AI solutions.
• Experience with LLMs/SLMs, RAG, embeddings, tool calling, and AI agent orchestration.
• Azure cloud experience, including Azure Databricks or a comparable Lakehouse platform.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark, Delta Lake, distributed processing, and data pipelines.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, automated testing, model deployment, and monitoring.
• Excellent troubleshooting, technical leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SLM development or fine-tuning for medical records, clinical document review, summarization, or data extraction.
• Healthcare payer, claims, clinical data, or HL7 FHIR experience.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, or SNOMED CT.
• Experience with MLflow, Databricks Model Serving, Unity Catalog, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI protection, and responsible AI governance.
