Kforce is a staffing and solutions firm connecting organizations with skilled professionals. For this position, Kforce is recruiting on behalf of a client building an enterprise-scale multilingual translation platform.

About the Role

Kforce is seeking a remote Python Machine Learning Engineer to help develop a multilingual translation platform using traditional natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and modern large language models (LLMs).

The role focuses on building translation solutions that support real-time and batch processing, incorporate specialized terminology, and serve multiple digital experiences through a reusable backend service. You will work with technical and business stakeholders to evaluate performance, solve translation challenges, and improve the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Build multilingual and machine translation solutions using Python
• Develop and evaluate translation approaches using traditional NLP, machine learning, and LLMs
• Support real-time and batch translation use cases
• Incorporate custom terminology and domain-specific glossaries into translation outputs
• Help develop a reusable backend translation service for multiple digital experiences
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to assess and improve translation solutions

Required Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of relevant machine learning or NLP engineering experience
• Strong hands-on Python programming skills
• Direct experience with machine translation, multilingual NLP, or language translation systems
• Strong foundation in traditional natural language processing
• Experience working with LLMs or generative AI
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to real-time translation systems is highly preferred

Salary & Benefits

The pay range is determined based on the compensation Kforce reasonably expects to offer for the position. Actual pay may vary depending on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract requirements, and business needs. The range may be modified in the future.

Eligible employees may receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), a 401(k) plan, and life, disability, and accidental death and dismemberment (ADD) insurance.

Salaried employees receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees working on Service Contract Act projects are eligible for paid sick leave.

This position is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions. Compensation is subject to applicable earning, vesting, and payment conditions and may be modified in accordance with the law.
