Location: Deale Elementary School, 759 Masons Beach Road, Deale, MD 20751 and Shady Side Elementary School, 4859 Atwell Road, Shady Side, MD 20764 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Benefits: Benefits include health dental, vision and pharmacy coverage. 10-month position, summers off; no shift work; and paid leave days. Annual Budgeted Amount: $69,502.95

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Under the supervision of the appropriate Program Supervisor, this is the professional health services (school nurse) component of the pupil services team. Functions as a liaison between the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, one or more designated schools, the student and his/her family, and the student's health care provider. Provides appropriate health services, supervision of delegated nursing tasks, counseling and resource referrals to students, parents and staff at assigned schools during the school year.

Education

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Experience

Two years as a registered nurse.

License Or Certification

Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing. Driver’s License Required.

Notes

Education is determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.

Desired Or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing.
