Job Description

Medical-Surgical/Intermediate Care Nurse

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical needs. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, manage complex patient cases, and administer medications safely. Monitor telemetry when indicated and maintain vigilant observation of patient status.

Key duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Implement and evaluate nursing interventions for medical and intermediate care patients
Administer medications according to established standards
Monitor telemetry when required and report changes promptly
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care
Educate patients and families and reinforce self-care and treatment plans
Support safe, effective discharge planning

Qualifications/skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency with medication administration and patient safety practices
Ability to manage complex cases and respond to changing conditions
Effective communication and teamwork skills
