Overview

The Computer Merchant, LTD (TCM) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform. This role will require collaborating with various teams to enhance our cloud operations, ensuring optimal performance and security of our systems. The AWS Cloud Engineer will also play a critical role in troubleshooting issues, automating processes, and implementing best practices in cloud management.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure AWS infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor cloud system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
• Develop and manage cloud architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
• Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices within the AWS environment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
• Participate in cloud strategy development, cost optimization analysis, and planning efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
